    I saw this linked in another thread...I've never actually looked at AoPS:

    It seems like the older ones are a bit easier? DD could definitely do some of these solo. Many she could work through pretty easily with a little bit of help. Would that be indicative of mild math talent (one grade ahead is where she is working now) or something a bit more out there in an 8yo? What grade level are these for? (I have no idea, honestly.)

    Thanks. Is there any way to figure out what DD would have had to score on one of those previous tests to be considered at recognition level for her age (8)?

    Looking again, the 2010 one seems to incorporate a lot of concepts (tangent, ratios) she has not been introduced to yet. Yet I feel many of the other problems are not far out of her grasp, which is instructive.
