    I've been reading the posts... the one thing that would be very helpful would be to have a list of the common abbreviations/acronyms that used. Some of them I can deduce, but a few would be helpful if someone could spell it out so-to-speak.

    DS#?
    DD?
    DH?
    GS# = Gifted Son (with age)?

    There are a few that that I'm sure I'm missing...

    If this was covered in another post, just point the way!

    Thanks.

    DS# = dear son, aged ___

    DD = dear daughter

    DH = dear husband

    GS = grandson

    I had the same problem when I got here. I think having a "Start here!" sticky with a permalink to the abbreviations on Hoagies might be smart...

    Hi JBDad! I'm still new at this too, but I think I can help with these.

    DS# is Dear or Darling Son with age
    DD is Dear or Darling Daughter (can have age after, too)
    DH is Dear or Darling Husband
    GS is Grandson, I believe

    I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong; until then I hope this help!

    Thanks!

    After being in denial for a few years, I've just come to the realization that our DS5 is gifted so it's been nice to find others to talk to.

    Yes, that's why I think we need a perma-sticky with this link, so all newbies see it up front. I think you post that link about once every couple of months, Dottie. It would be nice to save you the time...

    How does one go about requesting a sticky?

    Hey! That link doesn't have GS or GD!
    I also like to add the age of the child after the abreviation, GS8, GD7, GD4(almost 5!).
