Well, I am not mathy myslef, my H is....
But you really get much more appreciation out of AoPS when you use their courses. In order to learn lots you have to be good, you do not learn a lot just by sitting in front of the computer and looking at other's responses. You have to participate. It takes a lot to be able to participate - it takes knowledge.
