My son was tested on the WISC-IV at 9 years-11 months.
    His results are as follows:

    Verbal comprehension
    Similarities 19
    Vocabulary 16
    Comprehension 16

    Perceptual Reasoning
    Block Design 18
    Picture Concepts 10
    Matrix Reasoning 13

    Working Memory
    Digit Span. 12
    Arithmetic 14

    Processing Speed
    Coding 8
    Symbol Search 14

    Verbal Comprehension 146
    Perceptual Reasoning 126
    Working Memory 118
    Processing Speed 106

Any insight to understand the gaps between VCI and PRI?
Could you confirm that GIA is 139 and help to calculate the FSQI?

    Thank you

GAI is 139. I don't know how to calculate the FSIQ smile . Your son does qualify for DYS with the verbal score of 146. Do you have any achievement testing?

No Unfortunatly it all the results I have got. We are leaving in France and despite the fact that the Wisc IV is similar than in US, that is the only results I got from the tester. He said that it is meaningless to calculate the FSQI because of the gap between VCI and PRI but at the same time I have been asked by the school Psy the FSIQ...

The GAI is probably not going to be 139 because the norming tables are going to be different.

Why were you testing, why does the school psychologist want the results... and why wasn't he tested by the school? The school psy should be able to compute the numbers herself from the subtest scores anyway. Not that the FSIQ would be meaningful, but still...

And if your problem is a bright, low achieving kid I suggest you go dip your toes in the 2E forum. That's a rather spiky profile, and might indicate underlying issues.

In fact, in France, schools don't test kids. Most of the time, initiative comes from the parents/ or the teacher who noticed low achievement but at the same time bright behaviour from their kids. Our son was tested by a psychologist and we brough the results to school with the report, who in our case conlude that our son is obvioulsy bright but with a non homogenous IQ...
The Teacher (and even the school psy) are a bit confused by the gap between the VCI and PRI and the fact that there is no FSIQ in the report.
