    Lots of good advice given already, so I'll just add that the "poor sport" behavior is typical 3yo behavior everyone has to work through, just keep doing what you're doing and otherwise don't about it too much.

    For my DD6 at that age, it was playing the board game Life and getting the pink house.

    I'm happy to report that this has improved, with a little tweaking. A good thing, too, because he played many adults over the break. The only time it continues to come up is when he plays his sister, unsurprisingly--she is surely the least lenient of all his opponents, and then the sibling factor plays in. So it's really better for them not to play each other, at least for now.
