If he's already looking over his shoulder at what the other kids are up to, then can he be placed in a classroom where the other kids are doing what he can do?
If you never ask, you'll never know.
I'd advise sitting in the classrooms with older kids first so you know which room to ask for (and which teacher!)

I know the older classes as Aiden is at the same school. They won't put him in an older class now because according to their words they do individualised plans etc etc. But these are still not really at the level I am wanting to see...
Ah well - he really enjoyed today and is totally upset that he cannot go tomorrow. He goes again thursday for his assessment and friday for the class picnic to meet his classmates for next year. The class aide pulled me aside and mentioned that she was stunned at his cutting and colouring skills. we had a quiet laugh at how he loves to do this as opposed to his big brother who hates these activities.
maybe I am just so used to the worry that I am looking for trouble before it finds me...
