How do I figure out for myself how much DS needs? Will challenge problems, or challenge word problems or ... really add much more? Do these address my desire for logic problems or something complementary to the arithmetic?
I should clarify - the way I've explained the math where he's needed explanation is through giving him a word problem. His conceptual understanding is so strong that he grasps it instantly with that amount. The algorithm is mastered with the one or two examples in the workbook.
