    d) I am exaggerating his need for "work" work.

sometimes I think I want to cry about it and at other times I think that I should be glad that he likes to play there - even if it means he asks to do all his learning at home. every afternoon after school. AND on a saturday morning. at 5am. gah!

Madoosa we get the same response from D's preschool and the same desire for learning at 5 am!
At the moment I am seeing pre-school as the place to learn to cope with other kids, have to follow directions etc but a lot of the " learning" otherwise occurs at home where DS is reading, interested in spelling and writing, numbers etc which is entirely self driven.

I know! That was my first thought, too, but DD does not actually watch Sesame Street. She does have a towel with Elmo on it, so I went that direction. LOL. The Count makes no sense. When we went to Sesame place she fell in love with him.
