My DD2 is almost 3. She loves anatomy. She is not an eater and we made tortellini and sprinkled Parmesan cheese on them. I called them white blood cells to encourage her to eat them. She called the parmesan cheese, antibodies. She loves the magic school bus "Inside Ralphie" and the one about inside Arnold. She can name the whole digestive tract etc. I am sure you get the point. Looking for books and videos about the human body that people have found engaging, realistic and more than a basic naming that a 3 year old might enjoy. She is also interested in reproduction and knows quite a bit about that. I am sure that will come back to haunt me but I will live with that. One website that is pay-for but is wonderful in my opinion, and has a demo (try rotating, turning features on and off in the display, zooming in and out, etc.): http://www.visiblebody.com/A couple of "Library of Curious and Unusual Facts" books which seem to have stimulated DS6's interests a bit: Mysteries of the Human Body The Mystifying Mind A couple of decent beginning references: The Visual Dictionary of the Human Body First Human Body Encyclopedia There's also one big coffee table book that I picked up on clearance at Barnes and Noble that DS seems to like, but I can't remember the title off the top of my head. I'll try to remember to dig it out and post a link later. There are also many interesting coloring books available (I can't vouch for them because we don't do much coloring here, but they look pretty neat). Try prufrock press...I got some anatomy workbooks during one of their clearance sales for about 2.00...it was a series of three books....
oh...they don't carry them anymore..but they were great. And Prufrock Press is a great place to get stuff.

My 3yo is a bit anatomy obsessed too! I got a model of the human body (female) and did all of the painting and gluing for her. Then I let her place the body parts using the instruction guide and pictures from a kids anatomy book we have.
I also bought her the My First Human Body coloring book (3.99 at Barnes and Noble).
I'm in the process right now of trying to find kid friendly anatomy videos on youtube, but so far I'm not having much luck.

At age 3 (and now at age 5) my DD loved "Your Body Battles" books by Vicki Cobb. These are very conceptual, but very visual and well-written which makes them accessible for a gifted preschooler. They teach about antibodies, different types of white blood cells, etc and how they help the body heal. A couple more, from one who has one too!! The puzzle is totally age appropriate, the books have fabulous pixs and drawings but serious content - might be in the previous threads, didn't check, if doubled sorry  For little kids Same people, older kids, fabulous book Little girl anatomy puzzle They also have one of mom with baby in tummy. Great tool. Plus there is an Usborne lift the flap one, those are great too. DeHe
