I am wondering if anybody knows how much extra money is paid to a school by district/state for a gifted student?
    Thanks.

It depends on a number of factors. The PDF detailing the funding formula is here:

If anybody has any number then it will be very helpful. I could not get any idea about how much my district spends for my kid for the gifted education from the formula http://www.fldoe.org/fefp/pdf/fefpdist.pdf. Thanks for your reply.

This might be more helpful. It might not. How much each district has to spend on gifted students varies a great deal. You'll need to figure this out based on your own district's numbers.
