I would like to add a tremendous "thank you" to Dottie for her help (along with some other angels) who worked with me through our discovery/suprise of our dd's giftedness and eventual change of schools.

I appreciate that she was willing to take the time to share her knowledge/experiences. It really helped shape our direction and temper our emotions during the process. Perspective is everything!

    Thanks Dottie!

    TxB

I lurked on this board for a long time before finally summoning the courage to post and ask questions. From my first visit, I was stunned to find a place that finally felt like home. And I belong to many, many support groups, including those for gifted kids.

What was most pleasantly shocking was that a member took the time to help interpret IQ scores for free. That she knew how to do it was already admirable. That she did so much out of empathy, Wow!

Recently, Dottie and I actually shared a little private time discussing our kids. I was so touched that she took the time to do that. Her stories of her kids keep playing in my head when I make acceleration decisions for my son.

Many, many hugs to Dottie and much gratitude always.

I hope that Dottie sees this Dottie lovefest at some point!

Thank-you Dottie for your direct help with my kiddo and the break down of scores etc. I have also really appreciated all the help you have given others that has helped clarify our situation better. And of course your mantra of more data, more data, more data to help illuminate the whole picture. I am so glad that you have found the support and friendship that you need in people. Good luck and best wishes for your whole family!

Thank you, Dottie for your very honest and clear feedback you gave on my daughter's scores. The advice you've given me has been wildly helpful. I feel incredibly blessed to have met you in the early days of my "gifted" learning curve.

Thank you for being so generous with your time.
