Sorry if this was already posted, I was at target today and got a bunch of the classics for $1 each. Little Women, Treasure Island, The Wind in the Willows, Moby Dick, Heidi, White Fang, and I think there were a couple of others. Just thought I would pass it along!

Good to know, thanks. If I may expand the topic of this thread to sources of inexpensive books, I will mention Dover, especially Dover Thrift Editions http://store.doverpublications.com/by-subject-literature-dover-thrift-editions.html and the Math and Science club http://store.doverpublications.com/by-subject-science-and-mathematics.html , which is free to join and has a nice printed catalog. Edward R. Hamilton http://www.edwardrhamilton.com/ has many discounted books, but since the topics span a wide range, I would not leave a catalog with a child.

I should mention that they are "junior classics," so probably abridged. Admittedly I haven't looked too hard at them yet, I was at the store with my 3 kids buy myself, so I threw them in the cart (the books, not the kids) and went about my business. smile

    Thanks for the tips!
