My DS10 just took achievement test and said it was all easy except it got really hard in Math. Is that possible?

I thought this was a test without a ceiling. Has this every happened to anyone? When he took it in 2nd grade he was overall average like an 8th grader in his anwsers. I get the results next week and this is bugging me.

When you get more information like this do you send it to DYS for any reason?

Since my 8yo took the WIAT and was still getting answers correct at the end of the math section, I don't think they really go all that high.

I forgot to ask what test. Until he actually took the test, I wasn't concerned about it. I was thinking it would be the WJ but, I don't really know. Now, I'm hating the waiting.

The person reccomending the test thought DS should take it, because his data/abilities may have changed. We are considering if he needs more challenge in school. I believe a grade skip may be reccomended. I'm nervous.

The WJ test scores for DS10 are mostly lower than 3 years ago. Is that unsual? What should I think of this?

You are right, I was mistaken, the old scores are from 2 years, not 3 years.

He still seems very good on this WJ test, most scores are 98 and 99% for his grade and next year. Looking beyond the test, his writing and oral skils are very average for his age. He is a bit young in maturity, so school, parents and DC are in agreement to not grade skip at this point.

opps again, just looked at the tests again,I was comparing AE to GE, which doesn't work. Actually, he did go up 3 or more grades in everything, which seems good, like he has steadily progressed- right?
Is this about all the insight from having this test again?
