OP jack'smom Member J Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 757	My 6-year old took the Raven test and got a 99.1 percentile. That qualifies him for our gifted program. Hooray! What I learned about it is that- there is no "score," like 135 on a WISC, etc. It's just a percentile. There is a conversion factor based on tables, so it is not just how many you got right.

There seems to be a children's version, a standard version and an advanced version? I have seen charts for converting a percentile to an IQ number (or vice versa) for the standard Raven's.

OP jack'smom Member J Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 757	Thanks! We wanted to see if he could qualify for our local GT program, so that was good. It is the standard programmed matrix (SPM) or whatever test. There is no IQ number, apparently. There were 60 questions and I wasn't sure if he could hang in there, since he's 6. Whew!
