    Hi, friends!

After our extended conversations about the Meyers-Briggs and what our kids and DHs are, I looked into that MMTIC personality test for kids that Dr. Ruf mentioned in her article.

It's apparently only $7 for an official online personality test (scored appropriately and all that--not a fly-by-night money-making "all this and more for just $19.95" sort of operation, from what I can tell.) for kids in 2nd grade through high school.

Caveat emptor, since I haven't done business with them yet, but here's the site:
    http://www.capt.org/catalog/MBTI-Book-MMTICONSTU.htm

I sent them an e-mail to declare my interest and find out more details, as the site directs me to do, but I haven't heard back from them yet.

I'm thinking about giving the test to my DS6. Has anyone's child taken it? Is it worth the $7?

Especially since I'm HSing, I'm thinking it might be useful to get some insight about what's going to aid our communication and what will be a hindrance.

I suspect STRONGLY that DS6 is an INTJ--light on the J--just like his father and I are. The mystery is DS3, since I think he's an E, and maybe a P...but he's still too young to take the test.

I'd pay a lot more than $7 to get some insight into how DS3's mind works! But I'll have to have patience, I guess...

I'm babbling...my point is, does anyone know anything about the MMTIC or this .org?

No, but I look forward to you reporting back! I would love to know more about the kids "hidden" personality traits. Interestingly, I am so "I", but NO ONE would peg me that way. DH would swear I am "E".
    I am such a faker!

I hear you! My DH knows that I'm an I--he's seen me melt down if I don't get enough time alone! But EVERYONE else who has EVER MET ME would swear I'm an E, too, 'Neato. The usual response of people is, "YOU'RE an introvert? Nuh-uh! Really? Nooooo!"

Meh. I figure you and I are just proof-positive that "shy" and "introverted" are not the same thing.

I can talk to anyone about darn near anything (though 2 hours of talking about baby poop with strangers at a boyfriend's high school reunion was my limit...). I'm even good at the whole social thing.

But that doesn't mean I *want* to do it! wink

And I wonder if my kids are "fakers" like us, too! I'll definitely report back if I find anything I think will be useful. smile
