Hmm,her new eye doctor doubled her lens prescription for the glasses and said she is hopeful that with therapy (wearing a patch on the good eye), in time she will be able to reach 20/20 with correction.
We just got the contacts last week and I asked about the patch, the lady who helped teach her to put the lenses in and take them out (not the doctor) said that the doctor said the patch wasn't necessary after all. I am so confused now but will ask at our follow up visit in 2 weeks.
I am going to ask them on the 3rd about their experience with gifted kids, but I also want to know what, if any, tests would be best for determining problems that could be masked by the giftedness.
