Thanks again for more input. I am going to find out more about the map testing before I approach the school. I contacted a friend of mine who used to help administer the MAP test in another district and see if she can tell me about if it costs for her to take the test unsuccessfully if she can't do the higher level. Also find out if the test can be administered at two different levels at the same time(which I am pretty sure it can b/c they have makeup days for all grades). This way I am more educated on the test before approaching the principal. I hope to contact the principal as soon as I hear from her. The problem is I think I waited to long b/c I was unsure of what the right steps were and was going to wait for the results and then we were going to have a meeting. That is how I left it the last time I spoke with her teacher. I probably should have been more assertive. I am learning though and appreciate all the advice. It is very helpful.
