In our old neighborhood, it was very hilly. Now, even though we live in a gated and quiet neighborhood, there is still plenty of traffic down our street and we don't have sidewalks. We recently lost a 7 year old in our area to a car driving only 15 mph, so now I'm back to being paranoid-Mom about anything near the road.

How awful! I'd be super paranoid too. We live in a hilly neighborhood and though we have a lot of culs-de-sac and we live on one of these; I'm still hesitant to allow DD near the street mainly because we have so many twists and turns in our neighborhood which means a lot of blind spots and this is what I fear.
