My eight year old son just got tested in Mexico with the WISC IV in Spanish. The psychologist who applied the test and made the assessment said that she and another fellow psychologist translated and adapted the test to spanish.
Here are his scores:
block design 15
similarities 19
digit span 19
picture concepts 14
coding 16
vocab 9
letter-numb. sequ. 15
matrix reseasoning 14
comprehension 19
symbol 13
He also had 5 subtests with scores as follows:
Incomplete figures 9
Registers 12
Information 19
Arithmetic 19
Incomplete words-clues 17
What I dont understand is the complete scores, I asked my psychologist and she said they were right.
Here they are:
Verbal Comprehension 83 (she added the test and the subtest scores in this composite, which I think was not ok.
Perceptual Reasoning 43
Working memory 34
Process speed 26
In calculating FSIQ
Verbal Comprehension = 155 in the 95% percentile with confidence interval of 116-129 That doesnt make sense to me, if its 155 should be in the 99th percentile, so I think this score is wrong but she said the program calculated it and it should be right.
Perceptual Reasoning 127 in the 96th percentile with a confidence interval of 117-132
Working memory 141 in the 99th percentile with a confidence interval of 130-145
And Process speed 126 in the 96th percentile with a confidence interval of 114-132
FISQ 140 in the 99th percentile with a confidence interval of 130-140
Shoul I trust this test scores?
What do you think.
Thanks for your help.
