I apologize if this is a repetitive question; I did scan the lists for similar but didn't find it.
My middle daughter's 3rd grade/age 8 CogAT raw scores are Non-Verbal 179, Quantitative 174, and Verbal 179. The raws are the only scores I have at the moment (pulled from school "parent portal" website).
Her teacher in an email today characterized these raw scores as all being in the low 60's percentile-wise. The school uses these three CogAT scores to determine which children will be allowed to apply (i.e., further test) for entry the school's gifted program, so she's ineligible.
Are CogATs administered differently in different places? I keep reading that the raw scores top out at 150; but obviously in our case here, with 170+ scores being only ~ 60 percentile, that doesn't seem to make sense.
The other confusing point is my oldest daughter (who flew into the gifted program) had very similar Non-Verbal and Quant raw scores at age 8, although her Verbal was considerably higher (225). (And I suppose it's possible you cannot compare an age 8 test from year 1 with the same test from year 2?)
If anyone has info as to where the raw scores top out, that would be helpful.

EDIT: After some digging, it looks like the numbers I have may be "USS" scores.
Also wanted to mention that she scores mid-90's percentile wise on the ITBS Reading and Math. Is it common for the CogAT and ITBS to wildly differ?
