Explore is for 8th graders normally, but it is offered through some of the regional talent searches for kids in grades 3-6 as above-level achievement testing. It is one of the testing options for DYS, yes.

The Explore is offered just a couple of times in Jan. and Feb., so if you're interested, you'd need to get on it NOW! I think you'd probably have to pay a late fee to take it this year.
Not all regions offer all tests. Please correct me if I'm wrong, someone, but I'm pretty sure you can travel to another region to take the test if you want to. But it's kind of a pain to do if it's not just across the border from you.
