See, I took it as telling us that the removal of that section is why the test no longer correlates so well with IQ. Mensa accepts old SAT and GRE scores for proof that you meet their admission stds, but they don't take the newer scores wherein the verbal analogies part of the SAT is gone or the analytical section of the GRE is gone. Perhaps that is why we all remember scoring so well on the parts that correlate better with IQ given that there is some heritability aspect to IQ and we are all parents of gifted kids.
