Ds6 was tested using the SB-V in March of this year. The tester was really good with ds and is experienced with testing gifted children, however at one point when ds was taking a while to answer a question, the tester said, "you can pass if you need to." Well that's all ds needed to hear, so anytime after that, he'd just say "pass" if he ran into a question he had to think about. I was cringing in the other room. I'm not sure how much that affected the scoring, but the tester said, "he passed on a few, but those were way beyond where I thought he'd be testing anyway." The psychologist really seems good, but the more I read about testing gifted children, I'm not sure what to think.
Anyway, I'm wondering if there would be any benefit to testing with another test. Right now, we're not trying to get into any programs, but we'll probably do so fairly soon. His scores are not high enough for DYS, but here they are. Do you think we should pursue a different test in order to have more info or to try to yeild higher scores? If so, which do you recommend?
