I agree with your tester. (and my psychologist who tested my DS8.) Like your son, math is my son's strength. He is in 4th grade, but he is doing Algebra I in 7/8th grade class during his math time at school. We thought the SB5 was better choice for him, but he could not quite make it to the DYS qualifying score. (His Nonverbal IQ 144 was the highest.) The psychologist said that WISC-IV often offers "better results" if you are considering applying for programs like DYS, so he tested him using a WISC-IV. Well, he got VCI 148.
