Hopefully someone has some information about this as I have been wondering the same thing. DS4 has been referred to a speech therapist for issues we have long had concerns about (articulation). In looking back at his WPPSI scores the numbers comprising the VIQ seem strangely low given he is reading 2.5 levels above grade.
I know there are a ton of other factors that could have determined his score but I am definitely curious to know if there has been any research done on this.
dbraunstein have you already had the testing done? It would seem that you would definitely want to have someone that specializes in testing gifted children given you concern.
