Not necessarily. This is probably conjecture on my part, but I strongly suspect that the score requirements for the WPPSI are higher b/c IQ scores are considered less stable in younger children. However, I guess that doesn't explain why a child of the same age who takes the WISC can get in with a slighly lower score.
