I signed up and the email ended up in spam but I did go back and look. I got DS(in K with no math in school) to take it because anything on the computer is exciting. I was shocked. Literally shocked. There are so many things he knows that I have no idea where it came from. He scored high 2nd grade overall and mid-3rd grade in fractions. Where the heck he learned fractions is a mystery to me. He said he figured it out watching me cook and playing with the measuring cups.
This assessment was a big big wakeup call to me at the beginning of April. I realized that it's unlikely that he will ever be truly challenged across the board in any class and that it's time we start advocating for the "least worst" scenario. His teacher this year still has the kids putting numbers 1-20 in order 3x a week... at his private GIFTED school. Yeah... time to move on.
