FWIW, if anyone has questions on how we are dealing with PG and public school, DS has taken advantage of many different options. He had one full skip, but also an early K start so he's "+2" overall. He has additional acceleration for math, and is currently in a class with kids 5 years older than him, in a building with kids ranging from 5-8 years older, crazy . Next year he's going to straddle a few more subjects and be in 3 different grades during any given school day. Hey, it works for us!


Oh I have questions alright. : ) Glad to hear your story and that it is working so well. I have a few questions though, how old is he now? How is he dealing with all of it? (meaning socially/emotionally...does he still have some kids he relates to and that mutually enjoy spending time together). Is your school system a system that typically has high standards for education, are they an above average district regarding academic standards? Okay, that's all the questions for now but it should be a good start. I really want to get this right with DS4 and am trying to get prepared for meeting with the superintendent.
