You might also go back to the "When did you first realize that your child was unusual" thread. I used the story about DS7 at about 8 months using logic to understand a rule about the use of Hot Wheels cars, and then following it perfectly forever after.

Sometimes the things that made you raise an eyebrow when they were just babies are useful. Then work your way forward.

(BTW, I'd be much harder pressed to do that for DS4. If he comes back with DYS-level test scores next year, I'll be trying the wine strategy, too!)
