I like this one for its misinformation. They have never been around a really bright kid.
"Most of the children that are pushed into the Gifted & Talented programs are really just kids whose parents spent time to make sure that their child gained academic opportunities and skills ahead of their grade-level requirements. There use to be a time when classroom teachers were allowed to organize their class by academic levels/abilities WITHIN the classroom. Those who were ahead of the curve were given more challenging assignments/requirements, those who were below grade were given academic opportunities that matched their ability but didn't "dumb down" their learning opportunities."
