On a related note, "Hector" received his ACT scores today. He did fantastic! His composite was in the 98th percentile (among all ACT test takers, most of whom are 16-18) and he is above the average for schools such as Duke, Brown, Johns Hopkins, and Williams, though *slightly* lower than the average composite reported for Princeton and MIT. If he had time to complete the math section, I am pretty sure he could have done even better.

I'm really excited because with these scores in hand, I don't see how the local community college can deny that DS would benefit from taking courses there. We're thinking of his doing a science or math course in the Spring of 2009.
