Some examiners are probably still giving the III, especially low volume practitioners and less well-funded school districts. Mainly because the IV costs, if not an arm and a leg, at least up to the elbow. Also, what used to be contained within the achievement battery has now been split up into achievement and oral language batteries, each with their own price tag.

Best practice, though, would dictate that examiners should all have switched over to the IV by now.
