Now my next scary situation - having 2 daughters enter middle school at the same time!! eek

Thank you very much...it's funny, sitting in our meeting listening to the three AIG specialist and my DS7's current teacher talk about how smart our DS7 is and how amazingly well he did on his IQ Test, and all the other test they gave him, I was flabbergasted...it was all so surreal...he's just our son to us!

Another funny...we were in Walmart today and one of his second grade classmates saw him and said to her mom: "That's _____, he's super smart. That's _____, he's the smartest kid in our class!" I smiled with pride, by son lowered his head because he was embarrassed by what she said.

As for middle school....your children will be great....trust me, I'm a middle school teacher. The first two weeks the students are a bit nervous (parents more so than the kids) but after they settle in they will love it...assuming they have teachers who are there because they love what they do - which is most middle school teachers. It takes a special breed of person to be a middle school teacher (all the hormones start firing up in kids)...the teachers are typically not there unless they love this age of child.

I could not teach another level of student. I kid people that I love middle school because I get to hang around students who are my same maturity level. It's a joke but then again not...middle school students are just a blast to be around. You can work them hard and then joke around a little with them and they love you for it...even the hard work. Some of my greatest joys are from kids who come back to me after they graduate and say, "Mr. B______, I still have the notes from your seventh grade class; I used them all the way through high school."

Trust me, they are going to love middle school!
