There were no anomalies but the tester said that DS4 hit the ceiling on 5 of the 7 sub-tests and that the SBLM was the best instrument to remove those ceilings for his age.

Regarding the WPPSI-III, this is what the tester had told us when deciding to go with it vs the WPPSI-IV. Sound reasonable?

The WPPSI-IV is a new test (released August-2012) and doesn�t have outside research published supporting the use of the test with the gifted population. Right now, there are no extended norms tables.

Places like Davidson Institute just started accepting the WPPSI-IV. There are a few places that are still hesitant to support the use of the test with gifted children until more data is gathered.
