Hi,
Maybe you all knew about this already, but I stumbled on
the Nasa.gov site yesterday and they have some pretty cool
math stuff--mainly I was looking at their publication on
"Algebra 2 with Space Science Applications" here:
http://www.nasa.gov/audience/foreducators/topnav/materials/listbytype/Algebra_2.html

Answers were included. Questions included some explanations
of the effects of black holes and then asking whether a
particular black hole would be strong enough to "spaghettify"
a person.... (so maybe a little scary for some kids)

Also a discussion and then question about how much force
would be needed to make a crater on the moon. Very neat stuff. I guess if you're an astronaut, you really do use algebra when you grow up! wink
They also have stuff for younger kids (and games) that would
be fun to consider.
