I don't post over here much, although read, but I think the above sounds like a very good plan. And yes... I think the RPG stuff is very pertinent. With my daughter, her interests have always had a very strong non-academic element to them. When I think about it... I think that can be very pertinent for areas such as science, where while in higher levels there is a strong math element, in the early years that isn't the focus, but the love/intensity of interest in those non-academic areas that they explore in their entirety can feed into the exploration of areas like science....it's all about ideas, and not the math/reading. Not sure I'm being clear at all, but I think between retest, and add in items like RPG, that would be helpful.
