I have some concerns about the new form of the CogAT test (Form 7) and the norms being applied to report percentile scores. Based on the test publisher's website, it appears that Form 7 is quite different from previous versions of the test (in order to increase fairness for ELL students), but no one has been able to provide me with any specific information indicating that new normative data was collected. Does anyone have similar concerns, or better yet, information on what norms are being used? I have a hunch that the test publisher is still using norms from the previous versions, but can't get any response.
