One that might be at the low end of her reading level is Lotus and the Golden Pearl. You could also look into the Tao of Pooh and the Te of Piglet. Finally, there's a book called Sophie's World that might be somewhat above her level (it's technically an adult book but with a young protagonist), but you may be able to make it work as a read-aloud.
