Sweetie, in looking at your prior posts (
http://giftedissues.davidsongifted....hool_eligibility_meeting.html#Post115758), it looks like your younger ds was assessed on some other measure back around 2011.
Next to get his little brother rescreened ...he was screened in K last year and missed the cut off by 2 points...which they say happens all the time and those same kids go on and qualify the following year...something about the K-Bit not being a great predictor for those K kids. He is eligible to be rescreened in December.
He is in much more of a need for acceleration and services especially in reading and possibly in math (more like in math he could stand to move faster and next year he doesn't need all the months of review). But we will see what happens this December.
Or, is this "little brother" a different child than the one you are posting about here?
If not, what did they use when he was tested last and does it give you any clue as to how he might test on a different test/how likely he is to be DYS material? You might want to do what the pp is trying and do some less expensive testing like the Explore for now to see if he qualifies on that.
