I share your frustration with adults who won't listen. A few people in my family insist on talking to DS3 like a baby even after my repeated requests that they talk to him normally. Sigh. Because of this I was very surprised today when a librarian actually took the time to listen to him, understood what he said, and answered his question. I hope you find something that fits for your DS, it's such a hard spot to be in.
