I can see that happiness disintegrating over time too. I think it was assumed that ds will be in the TAG school next year and that because of that, the level of information presented will be challenging and that if he wants to pretend that he is learning whatever is being presented, he is welcome to but the pretending wouldn't last for long.
DDs TAG teacher, after hearing the 3rd grade rec, suggested taking it month by month.
I'm just happy to know that I can relax a bit and allow ds to thoroughly enjoy himself while slacking off.
This is his one chance at childhood and I want it to be a happy one (but not at the expense of his happiness as an adult!).
