I actually shared a similar experience today on my
blog - truth is that you will likely always be somewhat at odds with the school, but you'll definitely come to a place where you wrap you head around what it means for your child to be gifted. It isn't a proclamation of future success - it's information that helps you help your child become successful through better understanding what they need to learn and progress.
