Dear all,
My 2nd grade boy completes all the MAP tests this year and get the most recent result of MAP test back. His RIT scores are as follows:
Language: 222 (99 percentile)
Reading: 224 (99 percentile)
Mathematics: 237 (99 percentile)
I try to google to find out what does those RIT score means and I find the RIT score match grade level of 9th (mean score 50 percentile).
Even he is taking 4th grade math and reading 7th grade AR book at school, I dont think my 2nd grade boy knows what 9th grader knows and I just wonder what does the RIT score can tell you?
He also took CoGAT last fall and the composite score is 99 percentile (profile 9A). Hopefully he can get into gifted class next year since sometimes he complained the stuff is easier than what he learned from his Montessori kindergarten couple years ago.
Thanks.
