Hello All!
I am new to this forum and would like to ask for help... My son is 8.5 years old and he has always been a very good student. But since K he has issues to "behave" during the class as he would finish his class work first and then he would be talking to all the other kids and disturb the class. Seemed that the subjects were quite "easy" for him. He seems to have lost interest in school and the activities but he still goes very well in school. We got him tested using the WISC-IV and the results were:
Verbal Comprehension: 121 Percentile Rank: 92
Perceptual Reasoning: 117 Percentile Rank: 87
Working Memory: 104 Percentile Rank: 61
Processing Speed: 106 Percentile Rank: 66
Full Scale IQ: 118 Percentile Rank: 88
I just got the report and the psychologist is travelling... I just cannot wait for him to come back! Can anybody help me with this? I see that some of his scores are high, but others seem to be quite "average". With these scores, would he require or would it be advisable to have extra curriculum activities or special classes?
Please help! I see that he is not interested in school as he was before and I do not know if this could be the issue...
Appreciate any comment!
