I will try one of those. Some one a day or two ago offered to refer me to an advocate and I cannot find that thread. I will keep at it.
You all are great, and it will be Ok ... it is so obvious that this is a personal retribution situation that I know eventually someone who still cares about doing the right thing for the kid will get involved.

Ebeth, I have both visual spatial books and the Silverman book is much more engaging and eye-opening. The other title is fairly dry and doesn't seem to pack the same punch.

I'm still a little sore at Linda for throwing me out of a conference session a couple years ago, but I have to admit that she does know her stuff.

You don't *have* to share what happened, but I am curious!

Thanks for sharing re: the visual spatial books.

Ok, I was being overly dramatic. She and I sat at the back of a session where another presenter was giving a talk. My one and a half year old was sitting on the floor between us, very quietly reading aloud. LS leaned over and told me that my child was distracting and it *felt* like I was being kicked out. For the record, I am very sensitive to children being loud or distracting and I am usually very quick to depart if there appears to be a problem. In this case, I honestly don't think my dd was bothering anyone. I left with my tail between my legs and my cheeks burning.

She couldn't have just moved to another seat?

Just curious, did anyone go to this? Anything to pass along for those of us that couldn't be there?

I went -- I'll give an update later tonight, um on my phone right now. It wasn't particularly informative for us old lags, but still interesting.
