Your son sounds very much like mine. I'm not too familiar with the Kbit test but my son had a very similar profile on the WISC. That is he scored quite a bit higher on the nonverbal portion and significantly lower on the verbal. My son absolutely loves math and seems to "get" it very easily. He is above average in reading as well but to a lesser degree than with math.

I can tell you that working memory and processing speed are often limiting in young kids (there's even a measure which excludes them). processing speed can be limited by small motor issues. Perceptual reasoning is a measure of abstract thought, puzzles and the like, intelligence if you want to call it that, hopefully clear of any motor issues.

To me as an absolute amateur, it looks like he is bright, but is having problems with memory and motor skills. But knowing the name of the test you should be able to find some better info.

I found some links that might get you started

Looks like it's a very common pattern in ASD as well as in gifted kids.

Thanks I will take a look, I am so confused at the moment so many things have been mentioned...aspergers being one but the EP(ASD specialist) ruled this out as my son didn't fit the triad of impairments(thats what I think she called it) and also she said that he was below low average for emotional literacy if that means anything to you?
