It was DD's 2nd year with letter grades, but this year she was much more interested and excited that she got all As and only one B+ than last year when she always got all As. Her school also makes a big deal about getting on the AB honor roll, and if she gets on it all 4 terms they get to go to Chucky cheese or someplace like that for lunch, so she's decided she will be on it so she can go.
Her response to the B+ was not what I expected either, since she has a streak of perfectionism in her, along with a pre-conceived notion that she can't do math. She said "not too bad huh Ma? I think it was because of pg X that I didn't get an A. But that's ok, you don't have to get As in everything to be on the honor roll."
