Yes it's overwhelming - but I was surprised to hear over the phone that many other families take much longer than I did - I found that the perfectionism that plagues so many gifted kids also affect their MOMS - LOL! I was so relieved when I heard that I want "bad" for taking "so long" that the process seemed much less of a big deal. FWIW
