or TTCT. What do you know about this test? I found another summer program that I was looking into and saw they offer this testing over the summer for $50(which seems so cheap so why?) We can't afford the full IQ testing at this time, but hope in the next year or two we can. So is this worth anything? She has had the testing through Northwestern's gifted program already that cost 150, so I am wondering if this is similar to that.

I don't know anything about the test (have you googled the name?), but creativity isn't the same as IQ. In my very simplified way of thinking, IQ is about how fast you learn stuff (and maybe also your ability to apply what you've learned), solve puzzles, etc.,, while creativity is about how good you are at coming up with new ideas.

There is probably some crossover (haven't read the literature).

    IQ test questions:

"I will say some digits. You say them backwards."

"Here are some pictures in random order. You put them in order to make a story."

"Here are 26 symbols that represent letters. You fill in the letters under each symbol on the lines below."

    Creativity tests:

"Here is a toy airplane. How many ways can you think of to make it a better toy?"

    "Interpret a hole."

    HTH.

Newsweek had an article "The Creativity Crisis" by Po Bronson and Ashley Merryman about the TTCT and creativity in 2010
