Can anyone tell me the pros/cons for these two achievement tests? DS10 was last tested 3 years ago using SAT10 at the 4th grade level (he was in 2nd grade at the time). Now, as homeschoolers, I have the opportunity to have him tested again with either the SAT 10 or the ITBS. My DD6 will take the ITBS (the SAT is isn't being offered at her grade level at the location near us). So I'm unsure whether to repeat with SAT for DS at maybe the 6th grade level or to just have them both take the ITBS. I know changing tests means we can't compare apples to apples but I'm wondering how critical that is anyway. Won't either test give me the info I want - to know what they've learned and where we need to focus for next year in home school?
